GREASEPAINT AND SAWDUST
SEATTLE, Washington – Another day, another book, another website:

Only a few days until the Venice, Milan, Rome, New York, Connecticut steeplechase commences. Work yokes me to the desk, friends drag me away. I start to panic, but my friend Edward scolds me. "We are highly trained professionals. Dashing around is what we do."

"I thought we were clowns with pies."

"Same thing, really."

  2. DB: thanks, but I'm not sure grandma will grasp the nuances of friend-I've-never-met-except-online.
