JUNEAU JOURNO
SEATTLE, Washington: A friend is moving to Alaska to broadcast under the Aurora Borealis.
"Oh, the places you'll go," I enthuse. "The glaciers, the float planes, the bears behind trees!"
"Amanda, you wouldn't be so giddy if you were moving," John chides. "You're just caught in the romance of the place."
Erm, yes, because that's my job.
And probably the better part of my personality too.
In this day and age, romance and romanticizing are underrated. Good on you, Amanda.
