GREASEPAINT AND SAWDUST
SEATTLE, Washington – Another day, another book, another website:

Only a few days until the Venice, Milan, Rome, New York, Connecticut steeplechase commences. Work yokes me to the desk, friends drag me away. I start to panic, but my friend Edward scolds me. "We are highly trained professionals. Dashing around is what we do."

"I thought we were clowns with pies."

"Same thing, really."

  1. Have a hella-good time in Italy and on the Eastern seaboard.

And don't forget to tell grandma I said hi.

    ("Hi!")

  2. DB: thanks, but I'm not sure grandma will grasp the nuances of friend-I've-never-met-except-online.

Though she does play a lot of card games over the Internet. Apparently against a parrot and an alien...
