SPONGES AND CELEBRATIONS

Fountain Hills, ARIZONA –
I flew south to surprise my dad for his 65th birthday. In the 110-degree desert heat, I knocked on the door, then popped out from behind a balloon bouquet.

He hugged me about 20 times. Then, in a state of shock, ran into the kitchen and began cleaning.

  1. Sigh...sweet home Arizona....Next time your dad is shocked, send him over to my house. My kitchen is in desperate need of shocked Johns

  2. I'm sure most Johns (Yank slang for prostitute clients) would be most surprised to rock up in a Cotswolds village kitchen!
