SHOOTING IS FOR THE BOIDS...

SEATTLE, Washington – Mike, of dump-run-truck celeb-status, recently sold me his old Canon 70-200mm, F-2.8 lens: my first proper glass since the AE-I a decade ago. The beast isn't close to paid off, but I take it roaming anyway, because things should be used.

Birds catch my eye, this last real snow day in Seattle. But damn if the little suckers aren't hard to wrangle into a frame...

  2. I have to get rid of my old AE-1. What did you do with yours? Or do you still have it?

Ms Marie: I can't bear to part with the AE-I – nostalgic clutter! I'm told the bayonet-mounted lens can be converted now, if you're cool with manual focus, though. I had a sweet wide angle I wouldn't mind reviving, though with the Digital Rebel's 1.6 magnification, it might not be as cool as I remember.
